A cord as part of the design

The Flos Wirering is a wall light with a special appearance. For this intriguing design by the Italian design duet Formafantasma the electricity cord plays a crucial role. It is used as the most important support of the light source and therefore it is the focus of the entire design. This is a light that only shows its real self when it is attached to the wall. On its own it is nothing more than what the name suggests: a cable and a ring. When these two simple elements are combined, they form a spectacular lighting pair.

A cable and a ring

The aluminium ring contains an energy-efficient LED strip that works as light source in this design. The ring itself has a wonderfully lacquered or galvanized finish. The cord is made of coloured rubber and it looks like a belt, with a flat design for maximal grip on the ring. You can fix this light to the wall using ABS connections.

Several nice colours

The Wirering generates an indirect and warm white light that is reverberated via the wall. The result is a pleasant light effect that creates a special mood in the room. You can adjust the light intensity yourself using the convenient dimmer on the cord. You can fully adapt this interesting design to the space in which it is used, as there are many available colours. You can go for a cable and a ring in the same colour, or you could combine two different colours.
